Extended Education & Outreach: Behind UNL Independent Study

The UNL Independent Study program is part of Extended Education & Outreach (EE&O). We develop, deliver and support quality study programs and educational opportunities as part of the University’s land grant mission.

EE&O was established in October of 1997 to help all academic colleges provide lifelong learning as a core mission for the University of Nebraska.

Our Instructional Design team works with UNL faculty to turn popular on-campus courses into high-quality distance learning experiences for students on campus and around the world. EE&O also helps high school students earn an accredited diploma or supplement their local curriculum.
