UNL Independent Study

Your distance college classes are all here.

Step 1: See an Advisor

Before you decide on a UNL Independent Study class, it’s a good idea to talk to your adviser. That way, you can be sure that the class you take will meet your academic requirements or transfer easily to your program.

Or if you’d prefer, talk to our on-staff academic adviser, Dr. Bob Mathiasen. He’s dedicated to helping our Independent Study students on campus and around the world choose courses that are the perfect fit for their schedules and their programs.

Once you’ve talked to an advisor, it’s time to move to Step 2: Choose Your Class.
